Online Reputation Manager

Word-of-mouth referral has always been a vital part of attracting new patients and 94% of dentists consider this to be their most popular method of gaining enquiries. However, ‘word of mouth’ no longer simply refers to verbal communication; this method of recommendation has now extended to electronic media. Using a range of channels including websites, social media, YouTube and video, your patients are a constant source of recommendation, and achieving four- and five-star ratings now ticks an important box to rate highly on Google’s latest algorithm.

Managing your online reputation is a key part of marketing a dental practice in the 21st century, and the Online Reputation Manager module within practice management software EXACT V12 is designed specifically to enable you to collate positive reviews and automatically distribute them via the most effective channels.

The Reputation Manager ‘kiosk’, which is situated at the practice’s reception desk, enables patients to complete their testimonial and rate their dental experience before they leave the practice, which we know gives the best possible chance of gaining a recommendation. Positive reviewers then receive an automated email asking them to post a copy of their review on Google+ and/or social media. In addition, any patients from that day’s appointment book who have not already completed a testimonial in practice are sent an email, inviting them to do so.

This automated process ensures that all your patients are given the opportunity to leave a testimonial, something which often fails to happen if left solely to the busy reception team. It also enables your best reviews to be uploaded and posted on your website, Google+ and social media channels as quickly as possible, effectively securing domination of the results page when a prospective patient makes a search for practices in your area.

The power of patient testimonials has long been recognised as an important aspect of building a practice’s reputation, and by utilising new digital media you can build on and benefit from positive reviews, distributing them widely and improving your online presence.
